Weather permitting, a dinner buffet is also served outside, either by the pool or in front of the theater. La Troje - Specializing in Mexican dishes, La Troje serves ? la carte dinners. Carusso - No children under 12 are permitted at this dinner house. Reservations and resort wear are required. Floral-print chairs, marble floors, and recessed ceilings painted with clouds create a proper atmosphere for Italian fare. La Huerta - Located by the pool, this is an open-air pizza place. Snack - Just as it's named, Snack serves light foods buffet-style by the pool for lunch. The resort also contains five bars, including the Sports Bar, which features pool tables, televisions, and, from 8 PM until 2 AM, music for dancing.

What to expect: Casual, convivial, and family-oriented, the moderately priced resort provides guests endless opportunities to have fun?and equal opportunities to be alone with the sun and the water. Amenity highlights: Two pools offer sunning and swimming options. Nearest the beach is a big pool and sundeck surrounded by thatch-roof palapas for shade and serving as the water-activities center. Farther away from the beach is a figure 8-shaped "relaxation pool," where noise is minimal and tranquility available. Great for strolling and people-watching in the hotel zone, the deep beach runs a great distance to the south. Insider tip: In addition to unlimited food and drink, the resort's All-Inclusive Plan includes complimentary windsurfers, small sailboats, snorkeling gear, and kayaks. Bicycles for touring Playa del Carmen and the neighboring residential community of Playacar are also complimentary.
